Medical Logistics Case Studies: Delivering Protective Supplies Across Europe and Africa
During the COVID-19 pandemic, demand for masks, personal protective equipment, self-test kits and other medical supplies increased across different markets. At the same time, limited air-cargo capacity, changing flight schedules and complex documentation created additional challenges for international medical shipments.
FreightAmigo coordinated multiple medical logistics projects for customers in Europe and Africa. These shipments included personal protective equipment and pulse oximeters for Italy, temperature-sensitive self-test kits for Germany, and surgical masks for Côte d’Ivoire and Cameroon.
Each project required a different logistics arrangement based on the cargo quantity, handling requirements, specified storage conditions, destination and required delivery schedule. FreightAmigo coordinated suitable air-freight and charter options, shipping documents, customs support, cargo insurance and final delivery according to the requirements of each shipment.
