Bobtail Fee

A bobtail fee, also known as a drop fee, is a term commonly used in shipping logistics, particularly in relation to the delivery and collection of Full Container Load (FCL) containers. This fee is charged to truckers when they choose a particular method of container handling, which involves delivering an FCL container to a warehouse and later collecting it after loading, rather than opting for a live discharge. If a bobtail fee is applicable to a shipment, it will be listed as a destination fee on the Beeontrade invoice, providing transparency on this additional cost associated with the logistics of transporting FCL containers.
