House Airway Bill / House B/L

A House Bill of Lading (House B/L) or House Airway Bill (HAWB) is a transport document issued by a freight forwarder or consolidator for consolidated shipments. It serves as a contract of carriage and receipt of goods, providing essential information and facilitating tracking and tracing. The House B/L or House Airway Bill is used to document and track individual shipments within a consolidated shipment, providing greater control and visibility throughout the transportation process. It contains important details such as the names and addresses of the shipper and consignee, a description of the goods, points of origin and destination, and specific instructions. By issuing a House B/L or HAWB, the forwarder or consolidator can effectively manage and track each individual shipment within the consolidated load, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while minimising the risk of loss or damage.
