Airline Terminal Fee

Airline Terminal Fee

Airline terminal fee is an amount charged by the airline authorities for handling air cargo. It is charged at both the origin and destination airports, depending on the airline’s policy. Airport authorities charge this fee for the use and maintenance of airport infrastructure and services. These include bonded warehouses, labour (stevedoring), lifting equipment, quayside, containers, etc. The Airline Terminal Fee applies to all airlines, both passenger and cargo. These charges are based on the services and facilities used by the aircraft at the airport. This standardised approach ensures that all airlines are treated equally and eliminates discrimination in charges between airports. Cargo aircraft pay cargo-related terminal charges, while passenger aircraft pay passenger terminal charges.
