Cargo Bays

Cargo bays are the designated storage areas within an aircraft or ship that are specifically designed for the transportation of goods, merchandise or cargo. In an aircraft, they are located either on the lower deck or in separate compartments in the rear or belly of the aircraft. They are usually accessed through large doors for loading and unloading cargo. These bays on ships are enclosed spaces used to store and secure cargo during maritime transport. These bays are equipped with various cargo handling equipment such as cranes, hoists and forklifts to facilitate the efficient movement of cargo. The size and capacity of them vary depending on the type and capacity of the aircraft or ship, and they are essential for the safe and organised movement of goods across different modes of transport.
