An export declaration refers to a form that is completed and submitted at the port when exporting goods. This document contains detailed information about the goods being sent to a country outside the European Union (EU). Its purpose is to enable customs authorities to exercise control over exports. Export declarations are mandatory for every export shipment to a non-EU country. The preferred method of declaration is electronic registration, especially for goods with an invoice value of 1000 Euro or more or weighing 1000 kg or more.
