IMDG

The IMDG Code regulates the carriage of dangerous goods by sea to prevent injury to persons and damage to ships and cargo. It also covers the carriage of marine pollutants to protect the marine environment. The aim of the IMDG Code is to promote the safe carriage of dangerous goods while facilitating their free movement. It provides comprehensive information on various dangerous goods, including solids, liquids and gases, as well as explosives, flammables, oxidisers and radioactive substances. The Code specifies recommended containment measures and packaging guidelines for these goods, as well as other relevant details. The IMDG Code is regularly updated to reflect technological advances and to ensure its continued effectiveness.
