Proforma

“Proforma” refers to an informal preliminary document, typically an invoice, sent to buyers to provide a description of a shipment of goods before their actual delivery. This document serves as a pro forma, or provisional, representation of the transaction, outlining key details such as the quantity, description, and value of the goods to be shipped. The proforma invoice is often issued to facilitate customs clearance, secure payment arrangements, or serve as a reference for the buyer to review and confirm the order before the final invoice is generated. It helps establish transparency and clarity in the transaction process, enabling both the buyer and seller to have a mutual understanding of the upcoming shipment.
