Service Agreement

A “service agreement” refers to private contracts established between one or more carriers and one or more shippers for the transportation of cargo between specific points. These agreements outline the terms and conditions of carriage that have been mutually agreed upon by the parties involved. Service agreements commonly include provisions related to pricing, service levels, liability, and other contractual terms. They often provide for specialized rates based on the volume of cargo being transported over a specified period of time. Service agreements, also referred to as service contracts, allow for a more tailored and customized approach to transportation services, promoting efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and long-term partnerships between carriers and shippers.
