Shipper Packed

“Shipper Packed” refers to the contents of containers being loaded, packed, braced, weighed, and/or counted by or for the shipper. In this scenario, the shipper takes responsibility for preparing and securing the goods inside the container before shipment. They are responsible for ensuring that the items are properly packed, keeping in mind factors such as weight distribution, stability, and protection during transit. The shipper may employ various methods, such as using dunnage, securing straps, or blocking and bracing techniques, to prevent movement and damage to the cargo. Shipper Packed containers are commonly referred to as “CY” or “Container Yard” loads, indicating that the shipper has completed the packing and preparation of the container prior to its delivery to the designated container yard or port for shipment.
