Stripping

“Stripping” is a service provided by carriers at the port area, involving the unloading of cargo from the customer’s container. This service is offered based on the customer’s request and requirements. When the customer’s container arrives at the port, the carrier’s staff is responsible for carefully unloading the cargo from the container, ensuring its safe handling and transfer to the designated storage area or onward transportation. Stripping services are particularly useful when the customer does not have the resources or facilities to unload the cargo themselves or when the cargo needs to undergo further processing or distribution at the port. By offering stripping services, carriers assist customers in efficiently managing their cargo at the port, ensuring smooth logistics operations and timely delivery of goods.
