CFS (Container Freight Station) Cut-off

The CFS cut-off is the deadline by which a Less than Container Load (LCL) shipment must be checked in at a Container Freight Station (CFS) for its scheduled sailing. LCL shipments are consolidated at the CFS before being loaded onto the vessel. Missing the cut-off date means that the shipment will not make its scheduled sailing. The cut-off date is usually set approximately five days prior to departure, but may vary depending on the CFS. LCL shipments must be consolidated and delivered to the Container Yard (CY) before the CY cut-off date to ensure smooth logistics operations and timely delivery.
