The United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) was founded in July 1976 as a joint effort by the six shareholding states from the Persian Gulf, namely Bahrain, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). UASC, with its headquarters situated in Kuwait, has emerged as the largest ocean carrier specializing in dry cargo transportation to the Middle East. The company plays a significant role in facilitating trade and connecting the region with global markets.
