Break Bulk

Break Bulk

Break bulk refers to cargo that cannot be accommodated in a standard shipping container or freight container and is instead transported individually in bags, boxes, crates, drums or barrels. This process usually takes more time than shipping in standardised containers. Examples of breakbulk cargo include construction equipment, manufacturing materials, oversized vehicles, boats, ship propellers, generators and large engines. These items often require special care and attention due to their size, weight or unique characteristics and are transported separately to ensure their safe and proper handling throughout the shipping process.
